MADRID, 6 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The car rental company Europcar, a subsidiary of Europcar Mobility Group, has acquired 21 units of Renault’s ZOE electric model for the incorporation of its fleet in the island of Formentera, according to both companies.

This operation is part of Europcar’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategic plan aimed at reinforcing its environmental awareness and sustainability. To celebrate the purchase of these units, the two firms have launched the campaign ‘Connect with your ECO side’.

Through this initiative of Europcar and Renault, when a person rent one of these electric vehicles and travel more than one hundred kilometers, an NGO will receive an economic amount destined for the cleaning of the Spanish coasts.

Europcar has opted for the Renault ZOE 40 because it has an autonomy in real use of 300 kilometers and five approved seats, while also having a great technological content and connectivity.

In view of this agreement, the CEO of Europcar Mobility Group Spain, José María González, stated that the acquisition of these vehicles confirms the company’s commitment to environmental awareness and sustainability as the cornerstones of its CSR plan.
