Faraday Future (FF) Invites Futurists To Help Define The ‘Shared Intelligent Mobility Ecosystem’ At Inaugural ‘919 Futurist Day’

919 Futurist Day follows last month’s first pre-production FF 91 being completed at FF’s Hanford, California, manufacturing facility. The Los Angeles town of Gardena serves as FF’s R&D world headquarters, where electrical and chassis engineering, design, and product validation are all conducted by seasoned veterans who have come to FF from the automotive and tech sectors.

Likewise, marketing, sales, legal, manufacturing, and procurement roles, among others, have been filled by staff coming from companies around the world-from automakers like Tesla, Lexus, and Ford to tech giants like Apple and Google.

Nick Sampson, senior VP, Product and Strategy, also on hand for the occasion, said: “When I first met YT five years ago, his vision to create a solution to lessen pollution and traffic congestion around the world blew me away. His vision in business, technology, manufacturing and user-value revolutions intrigued me.

“Through thick and thin, YT has steered FF to where we are today, bringing what many said was impossible to just months away from sale. Our curiosity continues to drive us; our next milestones will continue to demonstrate the future of smart mobility is no longer so far away.

“Futurists are visionaries who define the future from a future POV. We are early adopters who dare to embrace extreme technology. Futurists are bold enough to break the norms and make the impossible possible. We are born to disrupt; it is in our blood.”

YT and FF’s R&D teams have executed continuous shakedown runs with the FF 91 prototypes and pre-production vehicles as FF 91 nears its production and delivery milestones. In his 919 Futurist Day remarks, YT also took time to reflect on FF’s mission as a global shared intelligent mobility ecosystem company.

Jeff Risher, Vice President of Product, Technology, and IP Strategy, making his first public appearance after joining FF, said: “I left a very traditional electric car company not to simply come to another electric car company, that is not what FF is all about. We are more than that; we are a user-centric, advanced mobility company. A very disruptive electric mobility company at that.”

The founder and global CEO also stated that FF is nearing its next big unveil: The ultra-luxury and technology-laden final production version of the FF 91 interior.

“Not yet, though,” said senior VP Sampson, “Futurists will see our next milestone soon enough.”

The order book for FF 91 early users – aka “FF Futurists” – is open with first deliveries commencing during the first half of 2019.
