The vehicle has completed the route at a speed of 40 miles per hour, which equates to about 65 km / h. That’s also the speed limit. The test track led in a circle, because it was the Coventry Ring Road or A4053. This route passes around the city center of the British city.

The British manufacturer, Jaguar Land Rover, is part of the project UK Autodrive. It is the largest autonomous driving project in the UK, which started three years ago and ends this month. Jaguar Land Rover’s goal is to mass-produce the autonomous driving technology within the next ten years. In addition one wants the autonomous driving also in the Off-road segment to offer. It was only in May that progress was announced.

The Range Rover has made the route including lane changes, roundabouts, traffic lights, exit and access roads and crossing intersections. It recognizes passers-by, cyclists and other vehicles. In addition, it is able to park itself. This was preceded by tests on closed areas in Milton Keynes and Coventry.

In addition, the vehicle is networked so it can communicate with other vehicles and traffic infrastructure, such as traffic lights.
