Since the announcement of the legal recovery pronounced Friday by the Commercial Court of Lons-le-Saunier, everything is accelerating at MBF Technologies in Saint-Claude in the Upper Jura.

At 22:00, the striking employees lifted the blockage and allowed the delivery trucks to recover the stock of parts for the main customers, PSA and Renault. As for the employees, they should resume work Monday, at the end of a general meeting scheduled at 14:00.

For a month, they were on strike to protest against a plan to remove half of the 450 jobs at the plant.

The restructuring project was developed by the Arche group, which took control of the Jura plant a little over four years ago. Management had reported structural difficulties related to the auto crisis to justify its intentions.

After a month of strike, the Arche group has decided to file the balance sheet of the plant of Saint-Claude, resulting in a receivership procedure. The MBF plant has six months to find a buyer.
