Berlin-based Hubject provides a charging interoperability platform called Intercharge that boasts over 300 B2B partners in 26 countries. Intercharge connects charging station operators and e-mobility service providers in a way that’s transparent to users, allowing EV drivers to patronize any charging operator or network using one account, one app and one bill.
Now Hubject has partnered with Blink Charging to bring its e-roaming platform to the US. The new partnership, which will be operational in early 2019, will make Blink’s network of chargers accessible to EV drivers using any charging provider’s membership card and app.
“Our partnership with Blink presents an incredible opportunity to set the standard for open collaboration in our e-mobility industry,” said Paul Glenney, North American CEO of Hubject. “We exist to enhance the EV customer experience by streamlining EV charging for drivers.”
“The partnership between Blink and Hubject will enhance the experience of EV drivers across the nation, ultimately benefiting current and future stakeholders in the EV space,” said Blink’s founder and Executive Chairman Michael D. Farkas. “We believe that the power of fair and open cooperation between e-mobility companies enabled through this partnership with Hubject will lead to faster EV adoption nationwide and greater opportunity for Blink as a result.”
