FCA, the future will be sustainable with the first all-electric Fiat 500 at Mirafiori

Electric and hybrid, with a 500 that will arrive at Mirafiori with the first installation of a “full BEV” platform, that is completely electric batteries.

This is the core of a morning of comparisons at the table to finally know the future of FCA in Italy and in particular in Turin, now closely linked to the luxury pole.

In the presence of the new to Mike Manley and the manager Emea Pietro Gorlier, Fiat Chrysler has unveiled plans for the future of the car and this tomorrow, in the cradle city of the car, really means a leap forward, embracing new sustainable technologies. “Mirafiori – said Manley – will represent the first installation of the oiatrt full BEV which will be applied to the 500 and which can then be used for other models”. “Further investments on Jeep, Alfa Romeo and Fiat will affect the existing one”.

In all, Gorlier said, there will be 13 new models for the period 2019-2021, always focusing on electric and hybrid. In Melfi will go the Jeep Compass, while in Pomigliano will go a new compact UV (urban vehicle) Alfa Romeo, along with a hybrid Panda.

In total, investments will exceed 5 billion in three years. “We will also start with a staff training plan focused on hybrid and electric technologies”, concluded Gorlier.
