Bergé and Gefco will create a company that provides logistics solutions for vehicles in Spain

Spanish logistics companies Bergé and Gefco have signed an agreement that will create a company that provides logistics solutions for vehicles finished in Spain and will be operational from January 1, 2019, as reported in a statement.

The new company Bergé Gefco SL, which will be 50% owned by both partners, has received the pertinent approvals, failing only the ratification of the agreement between both groups to put it into operation.

Both companies hope that this new company will become a “leader in finished vehicle logistics” in Spain. By combining the competences of both, their experience and their resources, Bergé Gefco will increase their transport and storage capacity for their customers.

This will strengthen its value proposition for the Spanish market with more than three million vehicles produced per year. Customers will benefit from 3.4 million square meters of storage space in camps and ports with the capacity to store more than 120,000 vehicles, as well as a fleet of more than 700 trucks and 100 vehicle carriers to meet all their transportation needs. .

The new company will cover the logistic needs of both new and second-hand vehicles (VO), and in fact in the VO segment it will be the “only” provider able to manage all logistics and commercial services with its own resources.

Its solutions include transportation, warehousing, technical services, inspections, reconditioning, delivery, marketing, sales management (online, auctions, exports), administrative services and fleet management.
