The collection by tax of registration soars 31% to November by the boom of gasoline

MADRID, 28 Dec. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The collection by tax of registration accumulates up to the month of November an amount of 464.44 million euros, what represents a strong increase of 30.7% in comparison with the 355.25 million of entered by the public coffers in the same period of the previous year, according to data from the Tax Agency.

Sources of the sector explained to Europa Press that this increase until November of the collection by this rate, transferred to the autonomous communities, is due to the generalized increase of the registrations of automobiles and, mainly, of those that mount gasoline engine.

According to data from Anfac, Faconauto and Ganvam, in the first eleven months of 2018, 1.22 million passenger and off-road vehicles were sold in Spain, 8% more. Of this total, 751,072 units were gasoline, 31.8% more and 52.8% of the total, while 442,393 diesel cars were delivered, 19.8% less and 33.8% of the total.

The highest income in terms of enrollment rate was also maintained in November, with an increase of 30.4%, from the collection of 38.12 million euros in 2017 to 49.71 million euros in 2018.

The average fee to be paid for this tax for each vehicle registered so far this year was 368 euros, compared to 305 euros the previous year, 20.6% more, and 443 euros in November, 40.6 % plus.

RISE OF THE MEDIUM PRICE.

The data of the Tax Agency also reveal that in the accumulated of the year until last month the average price (including registration tax) paid by buyers of new cars was 17,198 euros, 0.6% more, while the rise monthly was 0.2%, up to 17,007 euros.

Another effect of the rise of gasoline models is the increase in average carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions of registered cars, with 119 grams per kilometer between January and November 2018, compared to 117 grams of said period of 2017. In November, the average emissions of the cars delivered were 122 grams (117 grams in the same month of the previous year).

In addition, the tax base (the total value of the vehicles registered) accounted for up to November was 21,236 million euros, 8.6% more, and 1,856 million euros last month, 7.7% less.
