Careem Captains are the soul of Careem and as we are from the region and for the region and are always looking for ways to create new opportunities in the market. In collaboration with TransAD, we were delighted to recently launch a new program welcoming Emiratis and Children of Emirati women as Captains to our fleet in Abu Dhabi.
This means UAE Nationals can now register as Captains on our platform and drive their private vehicles as part of our new initiative to create opportunities for the local workforce.
We invite all interested UAE Nationals who have held a driving license for five years or more, to apply and become Careem Captains at drive.careem.com.
Here’s what happens after applying:
- All interested candidates go through screening and background checks including character references and driving history.
- Candidates will need to present a proof of ID, residency or citizenship, and a valid driving license.
- Selected Careem Captains will be invited to undergo training sessions in Abu Dhabi, covering topics around Careem’s technology, best driving practices, vehicles and road safety, and customer service.
Careem offers all Captains additional benefits including support for applying for vehicle and health insurance, personal finance training and discounts on fuel and groceries.
