India Dealbook: Vogo, Paisadukan, Crofarm secure funding

Bike rental startup Vogo has raised $8.95 million as part of an ongoing Series B funding round while lending startup Paisadukan has secured $235,000 in its third seed funding round. In another development, Crofarm has raised $500,000 from a clutch of investors.

Vogo raises $8.95m Series B

Bengaluru-based bike rental startup Vogo has raised $8.95 million as part of an ongoing Series B funding round, data research platform paper.vc reported.

The startup has received investment from Pawan Munjal family trust, Matrix Partners, Stellaris Venture Partners and Kalaari Capital, according to documents filed with the Ministry of Company Affairs.

Last year in December, cab-hailing service Ola had committed an investment of $100 million in the scooter-sharing startup as part of a new strategic alliance.

Paisadukan raises third seed round

P2P lending startup Paisadukan, operated by BigWin Infotech Pvt. Ltd, has raised $235,000 (Rs 1.6 crore) in its third seed funding round from an undisclosed angel investor, the company announced on Monday.

Last year, Paisadukan raised $650,000 and $225,000 in two seed funding rounds. With the latest round, the startup’s total funding has touched $1.11 million till date.

“This is the first round of funding after we received the NBFC-P2P CoR from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in July 2018. The current round of funding will boost the company’s progress and will help in hiring experienced key resources and expand our technology workforce,” Rajiv M Ranjan, founder & CMD of PaisaDukan, said.

Crofarm raises $500K bridge round

Delhi-based agtech firm Crofarm has secured $500,000 from a clutch of investors including former HT Media strategy chief Vinay Mittal, Ramit Sethi from Strongbox Ventures and other HNIs, Entrackr reported.

Existing investors including FactorE Ventures, Ashish Chand from Yukti Securities and Pravega Ventures also participated in the bridge round.

The funding proceeds will be used towards ramping up operations, opening up new distribution centres, and further expansion.
