The startup Zoox has a new boss: Mrs. Aicha Evans.
The US company Zoox develops autonomous driving at level 5 (full autonomy) and is the first company in Californiawho is allowed to offer a robot taxi service there as part of a government program. Until recently, the company was led by Tim Kentley-Klay, who co-founded Zoox.
But there were doubts within the company as to whether Kentley-Klay was the right person to continue the business. Especially with regard to the scaling of corporate activity. For this, one sought a person who had leadership experience.
The lot fell on Aicha Evans, who has held a leadership position for the last twelve years Intel had and also at General Motors was employed. As of February, she will be working as a boss at Zoox, where approximately 7,000 people are employed. She looks forward to her tasks and sees the mobility industry at a turning point.
The aim of Zoox is to offer a driving service with autonomous e-vehicles by 2020.
