Tesla recalls 14,000 Model S in China because of Takata airbags

On Friday, January 18, the Chinese authorities announced the recall of 14,123 Tesla Model S S cars in the country. Electric vehicles would have airbag problems containing parts produced by the Japanese company Takata, which went bankrupt in June 2017.

This is not the first time Takata has been linked to a defective airbags case. In the United States and Japan, several waves of massive recalls of millions of vehicles took place between 2013 and 2017.
