The X2City from BMW is a kick scooter with fairly large wheels, which should be traveling in the future as a small electric vehicle. The Federal Government plans to allow corresponding vehicles in 2019. In addition to operating on public roads, e-scooters should be allowed to use cycle paths like a bicycle. The amendment has not yet been implemented.

The BMW electric scooter has a foot pedal function, with which it can be accelerated a bit more with every kick. If the pedal positioned on the running board is held down, the E-Kick scooter will continue at the current speed until it is accelerated again after pedaling again.

In the tread there is a rain and splash-proof lithium-ion battery with 408 Wh, which should allow ranges between 20 and 30 km. The battery is charged via a charging socket on the vehicle. If you want, you can also remove the battery to charge it, for example, in the apartment. After 2.5 hours it should be fully charged again.

Presumably, in the case of small electric vehicles compulsory insurance as a moped come. Even a small, self-adhesive insurance mark must be well. Drivers must be at least 15 years old and have a moped test certificate.
