PARIS, 8 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The ex-president of the Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi group, Carlos Ghosn, is “willing to reimburse” Renault for the 50,000-euro bill that the French corporation took over for the director’s wedding at the Palace of Versailles (Paris).

Ghosn’s lawyer, Jean-Yves Le Orgne, said in the station ‘France Info’ that everything is a “misunderstanding” and that the manager believed that the Palace of Versailles made a gift for the “privileged” relationship he had with the maker.

The Palace of Versailles did not charge Ghosn the rent of the rooms in which he celebrated his second wedding (October 8, 2016) and charged the invoice to the patronage contract he maintains with the automobile firm. Renault uses the palace facilities for some of its presentations.

“Carlos Ghosn is at the head of an industrial empire, it is likely that he has never seen any of these bills,” Le Orgne said on the French station.

The Renault group reported Thursday that the discovery of the alleged operation was made as part of the internal investigation that the company launched on November 23 last year, three days after the arrest of Ghosn in Japan for alleged misconduct financial and violate the confidence of Nissan.

In addition, he assured that he will take the case before the French Justice, which adds to the accusations of an aggravating breach of confidence for temporarily transferring losses of personal investments to Nissan and to communicate to the Japanese supervisors of a lower income than what he actually perceived. .
