Citroën will present the so-called Microcar Ami One at the Geneva Motor Show 2019. Microcars or easy cars can be in many countries from 16 years be drivenif they do not exceed certain weight limits. The empty weight without battery must not exceed 350 kg. Whether this is the case with the presented concept vehicle does not matter insofar as it is not allowed on the road.

The vehicles close the gap between motorcycle and car and can accommodate two people. So far, however, they are only perceived as a division.
The Ami One is designed for the city and reaches a top speed of 45 km / h and a range of 100 km. Citroën sees the Ami One as an alternative to public transport as well as bicycles, scooters and kick scooters. The vehicle is 2.5 m long, 1.5 m high and 1.5 m wide. It weighs 425 kg including the battery.
The car is opened and closed with the smartphone and the latter charged by induction using a charging cradle. Advanced functions such as infotainment and navigation can also be implemented via the smartphone. The user interface is controlled by two buttons on the steering wheel: a voice command to open the assistant and a drop-down menu to search for apps.

The vehicle should not only be interesting for private ownership, but also be used by car sharing platforms. So far, however, it is only a concept vehicle that is not clear on whether it will hit the market.
