Hérimoncourt: the city mobilizes against the closure of the PSA site

Hérimoncourt is a historic bastillon of the PSA company. Its plant, which manufactures engines including the C4, 208 and 308, could be transferred to Vesoul (Haute-Saone) next year. 200 employees and 30 temporary workers are threatened.

This afternoon, the unions and the politicians demonstrated together in the city. “All the people support us: the elected representatives, the population, the staff … This marks a strong sign” launches a syndicalist, mobilized at the head of the procession .

The first deputy of the city, Victor Harter, appealed to history. “We hope, however, that the Peugeot family will react and they take into consideration that we do not bury his cradle”. The mayor, Marie-France Bottarlini-Caputo, the city had called everyone to come to support this event, whatever the political edge. In total, more than 800 people answered the call, 500 more than the last event on February 11th.
