It is not only in France that employees are entitled to a bonus this year. Porsche will award no less than 9,700 euros of bonus to its employees, as a bonus for the year 2018 – during which the brand has garnered exceptional results.
In detail, some 25,000 of Porsche’s 32,000 employees will receive an average of EUR 9,000 on their April salary for the “exceptional performance”, to which will be added EUR 700 of employee savings, says the statement released Wednesday by the manufacturer.
The amount is new, but the practice is usual in the subsidiary of Volkswagen. Last year, while the brand celebrated 70 years of the release of its first model, the annual bonus amounted to 9,656 euros, against already 9.111 euros the previous year.

The turnover and Porsche’s profits hit a record high last year, thanks to the sales boom of Panamera, Cayenne and 911. In 2018, the Stuttgart firm increased its deliveries by 4%, with 256,255 vehicles sold.
Turnover jumped 10% to 25.8 billion euros, and at the same time the Operating income net has increased by 4% to EUR 4.3 billion, for a margin rate 16.6%, down from 2017 (17.6%). The company has increased its workforce by about 9% to 32,325 employees.
“2018 was extremely difficult and sometimes pushed our team to the extreme. Despite this, we were able to surpass the excellent figures of the previous year in terms of turnover, results and delivery, and launch new exceptional vehicles on the market, “says Oliver Blume, CEO of Porsche in the release.
This year, the “991” will be replaced by the eighth generation of 911, the 992 type presented in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The German manufacturer will also market from September his anti-Tesla weapon , a first 100% electric vehicle.
