Skoda manufactures 500,000 units of the current Superb since 2015

KVASINY (CZECH REPUBLIC), 22 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Skoda automotive brand has reached an accumulated production volume of 500,000 units of the third generation of the Superb in its Kvasiny factory, according to the company, which started in March 2015 the manufacture of this model.

“With its design and technological qualities, as well as with its unbeatable interior space, we have been substantiating the aspiration of the brand for four years in the segment of medium-sized vehicles,” said the executive.

The firm recalled that the volume of production of the first generation of the model, launched in 2001, reached 136,100 units, while the second was assembled 618,500 units between 2008 and 2015.

In total, 1.25 million Superb have left the assembly lines since its launch and the company will launch this year the second phase of the life cycle of the current Superb, which, among its novelties, will feature a plug-in hybrid variant.
