NEW DELHI: Chinese carmaker, BYD on Friday unveiled of nine new cars at its 2019 spring launch show in Beijing. The event also highlighted the all-new BYD New Architecture (BNA) upgrade alongside several innovative technologies.
The nine new petrol-driven, DM (dual-mode) plug-in hybrid and pure electric cars.
“From research and development systems to product platforms and vehicle quality, from technological change to user experience, we always insist on technological innovation,” said Zhao Changjiang, Auto Sales General Manager, BYD Co. Ltd. “We aim to create powerful Chinese cars that fully utilize performance, intelligence and safety.”
In 2018, BYD achieved breakthroughs in new technology and products, new energy, services and other fields, which brought high-quality goods and services to consumers. Under the revised BNA platform, BYD has released the re-vamped Dynasty Series including the Tang, Song EV and Qin Pro, allowing the company to deliver even greater value to customers.
Despite the current downturn of China’s car industry, BYD sales continued to rise at a rate exceeding 24% in the country, with its new energy passenger car sales surpassing 227,000 last year. BYD was also ranked among the best in brand value rankings among the world’s leading organizations.
