E-Z Rent-A-Car and Advantage OpCo have agreed to pay $4.6 million to settle lawsuits which accused them of overcharging customers for vehicle repairs, the East Bay Times reports.

A complaint, filed in California’s Alameda County Superior Court, alleged violations of consumer protection laws. Numerous complaints alleged the rental companies frequently charged customers more than the actual repairs cost.

According to the complaint, the overcharging began in 2015 when E-Z and Advantage merged.
