BMW starts the year with a world sales record and almost 170,000 units sold

The German automotive group BMW sold a total of 169,538 vehicles worldwide during the first month of the year, registering a record for the company and an increase of 3.8% over the same month of the previous year.

The head of Sales of the consortium and the BMW brand, Pieter Note, explained that the company is carrying out the “biggest offensive” of models in its history and pointed out that the arrival of these vehicles will be noticed in the remainder of the year. .

By brands, the company enrolled 148,400 units of the BMW firm last January, with a rise of 3.4%, while the deliveries of Mini increased by 7% last month, reaching 20,929 units.

In addition, the deliveries of the motorcycle division, BMW Motorrad, reached a volume of 8,455 units in January worldwide, 12.7% more. The BMW group sold 7,155 electric vehicles in all the markets in which it operates in the first month of the year, with a progression of 36.7%.

By region, BMW improved its European registrations by 1.8% in January, to 65,071 units, and 6.5% in Asia, to 71,083 units. In America, the automotive multinational registered 25,545 units last month, 6% more.
