E-mobility: BMW relies on hybrid and electric cars

The worldwide growing demand for electric and hybrid cars should BMW 2018 will bring significant growth in this segment. CAM boss Stefan Bratzel assumes that the market for electromobility will increase only moderately in the next two years worldwide. Starting in 2020, the model offensives of numerous international manufacturers, the improved charging infrastructure and stricter CO2 targets are likely to fuel the market, according to the study. Industry heavyweights like GMFord, VW or Daimler have announced a variety of e-models.

The favorite cars of the Germans

In the endurance competition the upper class provider wants BMW be a leader in this field. Relative to all types of engines, Mercedes sells most cars worldwide. The BMW brand fell in January with 148,400 vehicles delivered (plus 3.4 percent) behind Mercedes with 193,100 and Audi with 149,100. By 2020, the Munich want to recapture the top spot in the premium class.
