A lower number of applications for subsidies for the Tesla Model 3 suggests a declining number of orders.
The number of applications for a government subsidy by consumers ordering the Tesla Model 3 in Germany amounted to 3,292 during the first four months of this year.
However, according to the monthly data, the number of applications are decreasing every month:
- Jan: 911
- Feb: 835
- Mar: 811
- Apr: 735
- Total: 3,292
Industry analyst Matthias Schmidt (schmidtmatthias.de) suggests that if the number of applications for the subsidy is decreasing, then it might be the case that orders of the Model 3 are declining too.
Well, that could be the case, but the Model 3 is one of the best-selling electric cars in Germany regardless. Therefore, we need more data on actual sales results to understand the current Tesla Model 3 position.
