In 2020 Seat (and the Cupra brand) will introduce the first all-electric and plug-in hybrid models.
Seat presents at the 100th edition of the Automobile Barcelona its entire lineup of electric concepts, from which the first will hit the market next year – just in time for the brand’s 70th anniversary.
The main model is the all-electric Seat el-Born compact hatchback concept, which will enter the market in 2020, as the Spanish brand is the second in the Volkswagen Group to get access to the new MEB platform.
The latest press release hints at a 58 kWh battery and 420 km (261 miles) of range, which is same as in case of the Volkswagen ID.3 (mid-range battery version). The concept shown in Geneva had a 62 kWh battery.
