The average discount for cars drops 0.59% in April, to 4,186 euros per car

MADRID, May 22 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Spanish dealers made an average discount of 4,186 euros for each car purchased during the month of April, which represents a decrease of 0.59% compared to the same month of the previous year.

According to data of MSI to which Europa Press had access, the points of sale made a total promotional effort during the month of April of 341.09 million euros, 3.83% less compared to the fourth month of 2018 .

The average effective price that customers paid for the purchase of a car last month in Spain was 22,515 euros, a 2.39% growth, while the RRP rose 1.91% in April, to 26,701 euros for each car.

The MSI data confirm that the average effective billing of the concessionaires (without counting the operations with rental companies) stood at 1,834 million euros in April, which translates into a reduction of 0.94% compared to the same period from the previous year.

In April, the cars sold had average emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) of 119 grams per kilometer, 2.59% more, with an average power of 126 horses, which translates into an increase of 2.44% .
