Volkswagen Navarra works to get the award of a third model

To qualify for its production, the Wolfsburg plant (Germany) demands to meet the productivity and cost efficiency objectives

Volkswagen Navarra is currently working to obtain the award of a third model for the factory, which would accompany the Volkswagen Polo and the Volkswagen T-Cross.

To qualify for its award, the plant in Wolfsburg (Germany) has demanded that the Navarrese factory meet the objectives and commitments of productivity and cost efficiencies and explained that there are currently four factories of the Volkswagen brand with capacity to accommodate the manufacture of this model, Volkswagen Navarra has reported in a statement.

Last Tuesday, a representation of the Executive Committee and the Works Committee of Volkswagen Navarra met in Wolfsburg with members of the Volkswagen Group management in Germany.

During the meeting, the head office of Wolfsburg conveyed to the heads of Volkswagen Navarra the need for the Landaben plant to commit to meet the productivity objectives entrusted, asked for the increase in the number of cars produced daily and urged them to arrive to an agreement on the third model, in which their approaches are specified, before the San Fermín festivities.

In this sense, the management of Volkswagen Navarra is currently working to “respond to the requirements of the plant and be able to realize, with the passing of days, the award of a third model, which, by virtue of compliance with the objectives and commitments of productivity and efficiencies in costs, would place the factory, in addition, in a good strategic position within the development that is beginning to realize the Volkswagen brand in the field of electromobility “.
