TOLYATTI, July 6. /TASS/. The cost of components supplied by the Autocomponent for Avtovaz has not changed, Chief Executive Office of Russia’s top car producer Yves Karakatzanis told reporters on Saturday.
"No," he said when asked a respective question.
CEO added that the company is ready to discuss new cooperation terms with the supplier if required.
Avtovaz resumed car production in Izhevsk and Tolyatti starting July 5, 2019 as deliveries of components were resumed by the Nizhny Novgorod-based Autocomponent, the company’s press service reported earlier. Avtovaz noted that "supplies were resumed without additional conditions."
Earlier reports said that the car producer halted production at all assembling lines in Tolyatti and Izhevsk starting July 3 due to breach of contractual obligations to supply components by Autocomponent Group. Representatives of the group linked the suspension of supplies with the lack of agreement on components’ prices.
Avtovaz is the largest auto manufacturer in Russia, with more than 560,000 cars produced in 2018. Avtovaz Group is part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance.
