Seat beats sales records in the first half of 2019 with 314,300 units

The company has reached the highest volume in its history, increasing sales by 8.4% compared to the same period of 2018.

The global deliveries of the car company have grown by 8.4% and have added a total volume of 314,300 cars. This means that Seat, for the first time in its history, has sold more than 300,000 vehicles in the first six months of a year, and surpasses the record set in the same period of 2018 (289,900).

“We are growing above the initial expectations and, in addition, we are doing it in a difficult context, in which the registrations in the majority of European countries fall or are stagnant”, commented the Commercial Vice President of SEAT and CEO of CUPRA, Wayne Griffith.

Between January and June, the markets where Seat has most stood out have been in Germany, leading the deliveries with 66,500 vehicles (+ 16.2%) and achieving its best result in history in the first half; in Spain where it grows 3.2% to 64,200 units; United Kingdom (37,700; + 5.1%); France (18,500; + 17.1%); and Italy (14,900; + 16.5%).
