Rotherham motor factor Leisureways UK has been taken over by Autosupplies Group, which trades as Autosupplies (Chesterfield) and Butlers Automotive.
The Autosupplies Group said the acquisition is a perfect fit as it continues to expand throughout Yorkshire and the East Midlands.
The deal is expected to complete on October 1, but work has already begun to integrate Leisureways, which has traded in Rotherham for more than 60 years, into the group.
In October 2017 Autosupplies Group bought Butlers Automotive in Barnsley.
“The acquisition of Leisureways fits strategically into our ongoing expansion plans and work has already begun with staff, customers and suppliers to ensure a seamless integration into the group,” said Autosupplies Group managing director David Clarke.
“Leisureways is a business with a proud history – mirroring that of Autosupplies and Butlers – and we look forward to continuing its tradition of exceptional customer service as part of the Autosupplies Group.”
The group now has more than 100 staff and 70 parts delivery vans.
This is the latest in a phase of consolidation in the motor factor sector in recent years, including Euro Car Parts’ takeover of Andrew Page.
