GOJEK introduces insurance feature Go-Sure

Ride-hailing unicorn GOJEK has introduced a new insurance feature, Go-Sure, in partnership with insurance technology startup PasarPolis.

Go-Sure feature is still in Beta stage and is not yet available to all users.

GOJEK, which currently offers travel insurance, will start offering an array of products such as healthcare, property and vehicle insurance.

For the past years, PasarPolis has also been supporting GOJEK’s drivers’, covering their gadget insurance in Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand.

Blibli launches live streaming app

Blibli.com, an Indonesian e-commerce site backed by GDP Ventures, on Tuesday launched a standalone live video streaming app called BlibliPlay, the company said in a statement.

Blibli sees a huge demand for a live streaming platform, especially from sports enthusiasts.

BlibliPlay will also expand its content categories to include films, music, entertainment, TV shows, and educational content.

With this move, Blibli will compete with foreign and local streaming services in Southeast Asia’s largest economy. Last month, GOJEK launched its own streaming service app, GOPLAY, while US-based Netflix and Singapore-headquartered Hooq have been around in the market.
