The two major shareholders of BMW Show stock market chart, Stefan Quandt and Susanne Klatten, have divided the inheritance of their mother among themselves. Two and a half years after the death of Johanna Quandt, Stefan Quandt arrives at a blocking minority of 25.83 percent in the Munich automobile manufacturer alone, as can be seen from several voting rights announcements published on Tuesday. His sister Susanne Klatten comes to 20.94 percent.

Johanna Quandt died at the age of 89 in August 2015 in Bad Homburg near Frankfurt. She had married the entrepreneur Herbert Quandt in 1960 and continued the legacy after his death. Quandt had entered the end of the 1950s at the then battered carmaker.

The Quandts are with an estimated fortune of more than 30 billion euros to the richest families in Germany, The BMW share package of Stefan Quandt alone is worth 13.4 billion euros, that of his sister 10.9 billion.

The distribution of the heritage had become apparent. Formally, the two children were initially jointly inherit the holding of their mother. Johanna Quandt had most of her stock of shares BMW 16.4 percent already from 2003 to 2008 – unnoticed by the public – distributed to them, but retain the voting rights.

According to the announcement, 49.3 million BMW shares will now go to Susanne Klatten, 50.7 million to Stefan Quandt. Both sit on the supervisory board of BMW.
