Europcar et Snappcar développent leur service de location entre particuliers

Since June 2017, Europcar holds a 20% stake in the Dutch start-up.

Europcar, in partnership with SnappCar, launches the Drive & Share mobility service in Germany and Denmark. A deployment that follows the success of this service in France.

New mobility solutions are on the rise! Europcar partners with SnappCar to extend its Drive & Share private hire service to Germany and Denmark. A long-term car rental system that offers customers the ability to share their vehicle with others via the SnappCar platform.

A flexible offer

This alternative to car ownership includes the vehicle, a basic insurance of 2,000 kilometers per month and maintenance. Additional options provide access to superior insurance and 3,500 kilometers per month. Customers have the opportunity to choose the package that best suits their preferences, particularly in terms of vehicle category and rental formula (from three to twelve months, including mileage and insurance). A monthly rental fee is based on the formula chosen. If the owner agrees to share the vehicle at least twice a month, he will benefit from an attractive price and rental income from the vehicle on the SnappCar platform.

“SnappCar intends to continue its innovation in the German and Danish markets, and this partnership with Europcar demonstrates our commitment to providing everyone with simple, qualitative and accessible solutions,” says Victor van Tol, co-founder and CEO of SnappCar.As a reminder, Europcar has become in June 2017 shareholder up to 20% of the Dutch start-up.
