Lyft: Cleveland Cavaliers and Lyft — Supporting Nonprofits Together

We’re excited to announce that we’re expanding our partnership with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Now, we’re not only the official rideshare partner of the Cavaliers, we’re working together to support the important work of nonprofit organizations in Northeast Ohio and across the nation.

“We’re proud to work with the Cleveland Cavaliers to support nonprofit organizations who are already making a positive impact on communities in the Cleveland area,” said Jay Dumaswala, General Manager for Lyft in Cleveland.

Lyft Community Grants

As part of our partnership, we’re awarding $1,000 in ride credit through the Lyft Community Grants program each month to the Cavaliers’ charity of choice — to help ease transportation barriers in the communities they serve. In honor of breast cancer awareness month, October’s grant went to Susan G. Komen of Northeast Ohio

“We thank Lyft for bringing this very impactful community initiative to us as an expansion of our partnership,” said Nic Barlage, President of Business Operations for the Cavaliers and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. “We look forward to teaming up to provide additional assistance to the many great nonprofit organizations and charities in our area.”

Supporting Veterans this November

This November, we’ve teamed up to support the USO through our Round Up & Donate program. You can join us by rounding up your ride payments to the nearest dollar and donating the difference to the USO. To participate, tap the Menu in your Lyft app, then tap Donate, and select USO.

50/50 Raffle

You can also help support non-profit organizations throughout Northeast Ohio by purchasing 50/50 raffle tickets at all Cavalier home games. Fans can purchase tickets from any of the volunteers on the concourse or at the kiosks located on the main concourse. For more information, visit cavs5050.com ›
