Portuguese charging station manufacturer Efacec will supply 95 of its QC45 fast charging stations to the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The German government will invest €1.5 million ($1.65 million) in the project. The first of the charging stations has been installed in the town of Bad Urach.
The QC45 has an output of 50 kW (DC) or 22 kVA (AC). It offers both CHAdeMO and CCS charging, and features 3G, LAN and Wi-Fi communications.
Efacec launched the second generation of its DC fast charger in May. Since then, the company has sold chargers to Monaco utility SMEG and European charging network operator Allego.
