The British startup Oxbotica uses ZF Technik to provide autonomous driving.
The enterprise Oxbotica, which wants to map autonomous driving in the UK, has with the supplier ZF Friedrichshafen signed an agreement. It is about the hardware for autonomous driving, on which the Oxbotica software will run.
Specifically, it’s about the computing platform ZF ProAI, which one in cooperation with Nvidia has developed and around the radar sensors. The startup has already successfully integrated the technology and the demonstration has also been successful. The vehicles run on the streets of the university city of Oxford.
The agreement between Oxbotica and ZF also implies the validation and verification of the systems. In this way, one wants to combine the competencies in order to further develop the technology of autonomous driving and to make it available in various areas of application.
