Ionity has chosen Abb for the second phase of the expansion of its network of charging stations for electric vehicles in Europe. The Swiss company has received an order for 324 additional 350 kW high-power chargers from Ionity, which will install them in 24 countries by the end of 2020. In 2018 Ionity had already commissioned Abb 340 high-power chargers, which allow recharge the battery of electric cars for a range of 200 km in less than 8 minutes. The joint venture between BMW, Daimler, Ford and Volkswagen Group (with Audi and Porsche) has so far opened 202 charging sites in 18 European markets.
