New Delhi: Great Wall Motors (GWM) has appointed Hardeep Singh Brar as director of marketing and sales, announced the company in a release on Wednesday. Last week, ETAuto broke the news about his appointment with GWM.
Prior to this, Hardeep Singh Brar worked as the director of sales and network in Nissan Motor India for two years. He has also worked with auto brands like Maruti Suzuki, Volkswagen and General Motors.
He has over 2 decades of experience in managing automotive sales, marketing and network.
In Great Wall Motors, Brar will be responsible for commercial operations including marketing, sales, dealer development, aftersales and communication, informs the company in a release.
Commenting on his appointment, Hardeep Singh Brar, said, “I am excited to join the India operations of Great Wall Motors and eager to build & drive a vision & business strategy for the organization in India.”

Hardeep Singh Brar is a Harvard alumnus, a mechanical engineer from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Punjab and a marathoner and avid sports enthusiast as well.
This is GWM’s second appointment to the India leadership team after Kaushik Ganguly was appointed a year back as director of strategy & planning, when he moved from Maruti Suzuki as the head of product planning.
