Neighbor.com, a Lehi, Utah-based self-storage marketplace, closed a $10m Series A funding.
The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Nate Bosshard, former partner at Khosla Ventures and co-founder of Tonal, as well as Ryan Graves, Uber’s first CEO. In conjunction with the funding, Jeff Jordan, managing partner at Andreessen Horowitz, will join the Neighbor Board of Directors.
The company will use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.
Founded in 2017 and led by Joseph Woodbury, CEO, Neighbor.com connects “renters” in need of storage space with “hosts” in their neighborhood who are willing to lease extra storage space in their home or garage. The funding followed a period of rapid expansion for the storage startup, which now provides access to affordable storage in all 50 states, more than any traditional storage company.
