Berlin, Pacheco The Volkswagen Group invests in Argentina around 800 million dollars, equivalent to 720 million euros, among other things in the construction of a new SUV model for Latin America. VW plans to build the new urban off-road vehicle Tarek at the Pacheco plant and is investing around $ 650 million in the facilities at the site.
The company announced this on Monday after a meeting between VW brand board member Andreas Tostmann and Latin America boss Pablo Di Si with Argentine president Alberto Fernandez in Berlin. Another $ 150 million is expected to flow into the production of a new transmission for the European market at the Cordoba plant.
