NEW DELHI: French car manufacturers, Renault India‘s Vice President and Head Marketing Virat Khullar has resigned from his position to join as Director Marketing, Hyundai Motor India Limited, people aware of the matter informed ETAuto.

As head of marketing, Khullar was responsible for market intelligence, communication, market planning, car flow management, product & strategy planning, brand strategy & positioning, pricing, product promotion, advertising & digital marketing.

He played a key role in formulating brand strategies to meet Indian market needs & demands and in line with the global marketing strategy.

Prior to Renault India, Khullar has worked with Tata Motors for over six years as Head – Product Marketing where he was leading an 8 member team. He played an important role in product Marketing for all Tata Motors products.

He started his career with Tata Motors as dealer account manager and later moved to Maruti Suzuki as regional manager.

He holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Punjab Technical University and a management degree from Institute of Management and Technology.
