Cabify, a Spanish mobility as a service (MaaS) copany, achieved for the first time, in the last quarter of 2019, an operating profit or EBITDA for $3 million dollars.
Cabify’s consolidated net revenues in 2019 amounted to $104 million, up 11% from the previous year.
Cabify says it is the first mobility company in the sector that is financially sustainable, in addition to it being the first company in the industry to be carbon neutral by offsetting all its emissions; it remains the only one in Spain and Latin America.
“We understand that the only way for the positive impact generated by our operations in cities and the rest of the planet to last is to ensure its continuity over time,” Juan de Antonio, founder and CEO of Cabify, said in a statement. “Our positive EBITDA reinforces our independence, allowing us to increase our long-term impact and, no doubt, make a difference with the rest of the great competitors.”
With operations in Mexico, 10 countries in Latin America and Spain, the mobility company is advancing steadily in its objective of being a sustainable project in financial terms. It is the first time in the history of this industry that a company of this size records that result.
Throughout the year 2019, Cabify integrated its application the operations of Easy Taxi, one of the largest platforms for providing mobility services by taxi in Latin America.
