Share Car, a carsharing service based in Indonesia, has launched its new carsharing app, according to a report by The Jakarta Post. The app can be installed on both Apple iOS and Android smartphones.
Started with test-marketing in 2018, Share Car was developed by ASSA Mobility, a division of PT Adi Sarana Armada Tbk (ASSA Rent). Currently, the carsharing service operates at offices and shopping centers in Jakarta, including Bakrie Tower, Menara Palma, Sports Mall, Bella Terra Mall, and Menara Taspen.
Share Car’s new app version was recently launched by PT Adi Sarana Armada Tbk in collaboration with Quantum Inventions, a provider of solutions for mobility intelligence, smart city transportation, and OEM automotive and fleet telematics, according to the report. The app includes new features, such as GPS geolocation and Bluetooth, which enable locking and unlocking the vehicle to not be affected by unstable phone signals.
Share Car plans to expand to more rental locations, including areas in South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Tangerang, and Bali, says the report.
“Based on positive responses and to support the location expansion, Share Car is preparing to reinforce the fleet with 200 new cars in the immediate future and with another 1,000 to follow,” Jany Candra, director of ASSA Rent, told The Jakarta Post.
