Carsharing company Socar Malaysia has launched its peer-to-peer service Trevo, according to a report on Paul Tan’s Automotive News website.
Trevo offers its users a range of vehicles while providing its vehicle owners with the opportunity to earn money to help pay for the cost of vehicle ownership, according to the report.
“For Trevo guests, we hope to be able to curate the best-in-class vehicles in terms of selection and quality at very attractive prices,” said Leon Foong, CEO of Socar Malaysia.
To rent a vehicle through the Trevo app, users are required to have a valid Malaysian driving license or visitors need a valid international driving permit. To provide a vehicle for rent, hosts must include the vehicle’s information, availability, and delivery options. Trevo Shield covers vehicles in liability protection up to RM3 million against damage to the vehicle, says the report.
