The employee, who occupies a production position in this automobile assembly factory employing around 5,000 people, had been on sick leave since February 29.
A spokesperson for PSA clarified that he had contracted the virus in the private sphere and that the few people on his team who had been in contact with him before he was arrested had been invited to stay with them.
Following this contamination, the factory, where two of the group’s flagships are made, the DS7 Crossback and the Peugeot 508, posted new instructions on Wednesday for employees.
They are invited to take their temperature in the morning before going to the site, to come directly in working clothes to avoid having to change in the changing rooms and bring food to eat because the company restaurant is closed from today.
Management is also considering doubling the number of buses serving the factory in order to guarantee sufficient safety space around each passenger.
