Launched in February 2017, the PSA Free2Go mobile application currently allows the 650,000 people who downloaded it to instantly access their travel to 22 third-party services in 16 major cities. “By the end of 2018, we will be, for sure to more than a million, we hope to be much more, “Brigitte Courtehoux told Reuters during the press days of the Geneva Motor Show.
“Free2Move was launched in the United States, but for the moment it is very European, we have not yet boosted much the marketing part, it will be done in 2018,” she added.
France, third market of Free2Move
The growth of the application on the American market, from its first location in Seattle, will be one of the main projects of the year. Germany, where the application is currently also tested with the service of VTC Uber, remains the first market of Free2Move, ahead of Italy, Spain, France and the United Kingdom.
PSA, like most major car manufacturers, remains on the lookout for all new ways of using vehicles induced by urbanization and the development of smartphones.
Free2Move is also a full-fledged brand of the Sochaux group, bringing together, alongside the consumer application, professional leasing, car-sharing and connected car fleet management services.
