Volkswagen will pay a bonus of 4,100 euros to its German employees

The manufacturer Volkswagen will pay a bonus of 4,100 euros gross to its employees in Germany who are attached to the agreement of the company, according to a statement.

The German manufacturer explained that this bonus is based on the two-year period as established in the collective bargaining agreements.

In addition, the board of directors of the German manufacturer has decided, after talks the chairmen of the works council of the plants of Brunswick, Emden, Hannover, Kassel, Salzgitter and Wolfsburg, add a special reward in recognition of the workforce of its employees and the “outstanding” commercial success of the company.

“In 2017, Volkswagen employees achieved a very good performance of the team, the board of directors and the works council agreed that this performance deserves our recognition,” said Volkswagen Human Resources board member Karlheinz Blessing.

For his part, the chairman of the general committee of the brand, Bernd Osterloh, stressed that employees of the German factories of Volkswagen remained “firm” before the pressures and “difficult times”, and that they have earned such reward through “hard work”.
