The JV between the two German equipment manufacturers, turbos specialist, is now owned by the Hong Kong fund FountainVest.
It’s official, Bosch Mahle Turbo Systems is now part of the Hong Kong investment fund FountainVest. A buyback that has been approved by all authorities. A shareholder change that will also lead to a name change since the former JV between Bosch and Mahle will henceforth be called “BMTS Technology”. That being said, its big competitors will remain the same with, in particular, Garrett Honeywell and BorgWarner.
BMTS Technology has four locations worldwide. Headquarters and R & D are located in Stuttgart. The turbo specialist then relies on a factory in Germany, Blaichah, for the manufacture of components such as turbines. The European device is completed by a site in Austria, Saint Michael, for the manufacture of turbos. BMTS also has a large center in Shanghai, China, which ensures the production, but also the commercial aspect.
