Job cuts: VW plans to cut 5,000 jobs in commercial vehicles and relocate production to Poland

Hanover The carmaker VW wants in his line of business Volkswagen Commercial vehicles (VWN) will cut around 5,000 jobs at the main Hanover plant in the coming years and rework parts of their production Poland relocate. “Another lever of our cost reduction plan is to reduce the workforce from 15,000 to 10,000 employees through natural fluctuation at the Hanover location,” said VWN boss Thomas Sedran of the industry newspaper “Automobilwoche” (Monday).
