MADRID, Aug 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Piaggio group has been awarded a € 31 million contract to supply 5,000 three-wheeled scooters to the national Italian postal company Poste Italiane for use in postal services.
As stated in a statement by Piaggio, the vehicles to be delivered will be the new Piaggio 3W Delivery scooter, designed and developed specifically to meet the transport and delivery requirements of corporate fleets.
“The model offers an exceptional load capacity of 95 kilograms thanks to the combination of front and rear luggage racks. In addition, the high wheels and the dual-wheel tilting rear system guarantee high stability and safety,” the Italian firm underlined.
The vehicles will be delivered in the middle of next year and thanks to this new contract Piaggio already accumulates a supply of more than 53,000 scooters to the postal services of the main European countries.
