DEARBORN (UNITED STATES), Aug 12 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Automotive firm Ford has recalled more than half a million vehicles in North America due to a brake problem, which can cause models to run out of brake fluid, increasing stopping distance and accident risk. .
As announced by the manufacturer, this failure affects certain Ford Edge from 2015 to 2018 and some Lincoln MKX from 2016 to 2018 in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Thus, it is estimated that 488,594 vehicles in the United States, 62,876 units in Canada and up to 7,140 cars in Mexico are affected.
In these cars, the front brake hoses can break, causing a progressive leakage of the brake fluid, necessary for proper brake operation.
Ford has also recalled more than 3,000 2020 Lincoln Corsairs from the United States, Canada and Mexico for a suspension system problem.
In addition, almost 500 units of the F-150 sold in the United States will have to go through the workshop due to a problem in the starter battery, which could cause a fire.
